We have many programs that target local industry and trades training, such as pre-trades electrical, plumbing, and carpentry courses, as well as WHMIS and Construction Safety training.

| Description: |
Learn how to make electrical installations and perform maintenance duties according to industry standards. Graduates who have a weighted point average of 70% will, upon becoming indentured, be able to apply to the Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission to receive credit for Level I technical training. Graduates may find employment with electrical contractors, large manufacturing and mining firms, retail or wholesale outlets.

| Description: |
You will be made aware of the hazards in confined spaces and know how to execute an entry safely. Identification of confined spaces and hazard identification, evaluation and control are discussed. The course reinforces the need for proper pre-planning procedures and provides rescue methods should the confined space worker be in peril. Content includes entry procedures, SCBA equipment, and rescue techniques and safety equipment. All OH&S legislation pertaining to confined spaces and SCBA will be covered. Each student will be provided with a workbook complete with all relevant OH&S regulations.

| Description: |
This course is designed for planners, managers, supervisors and employees who are or will be required to develop, plan, and implement any kind of ground disturbance. Topics presented will include identifying what ground disturbance is; what permits will be required; how to locate and identify underground facilities; regulations associated with ground disturbance; reclamation and safety requirements; and how to minimize the impact on the environment. Typical agreements and contracts associated with ground disturbance operations will also be reviewed. |

| Description: |
The Enform H2S Alive course is recognized by every company involved in the Oilfield Industry, and is generally regarded as adequate training by Oil Companies that require contractors to have Hydrogen Sulphide training. Students who successfully complete the requirements of the course will receive a temporary certificate, followed by a wallet card from Enform that expires in three years. Standard Safety instructors take great care to ensure that everyone achieves the 70% that is required to pass the written exam. |

| Description: |
Every worker in Canada who is handling, offering for transport, or transporting dangerous goods is required to be trained. Topics include basics of the legislation; the Classification system; shipping names, classes, UN Number and packing groups; and information required on the shipping document. Also covered are the requirements regarding mixed loads; segregation of dangerous goods; choosing proper means of containment; proper use of all equipment; and ERAP's Emergency Response and Reporting Requirements. |
