Commercial Pesticide Applicator: On-Farm Fumigation [SIAST] | Wynyard Print
Description: This course provides you with the basic knowledge of using Aluminum Phosphide for control of insects stored in grain and control of ground squirrels on your own farm. It is also for elevator employees to control insects in grain stored in the elevator. Separate application must be made to Sask Ag & Food for a license after completing the course. Part of this course was formerly known as “Grain Fumigation.”

Grain Marketing Basics [SIAST] | Wynyard Print
Description: This workshop will provide you with a sound understanding of basic grain marketing principles and strategies. This information will enable you to identify marketing opportunities within your grain enterprise that will increase the returns to your production system. Highlights of the course include examining key factors that influence grain price, pricing options available through the Canadian Wheat Board, and the role of technical and fundamental analysis in the establishment of grain prices.

Advancing Your Grain Marketing Strategies [SIAST] | Wynyard Print
Description: This course is for producers wishing to incorporate the use of futures and/or options in their marketing programs. You will gain an appreciation of the uses and limitations of these marketing strategies within a grain enterprise. Highlights include assessing potential hedging strategies, examining potential strategies to incorporated Fixed Price Contracts and/or Early Payment Options available from the CWB, and commodity options and their uses/limitations within a grain enterprise. It is recommended that you have participated in the Grain Marketing Basics course.
